The Central Valley Unit, San Joaquin Unit and the California Highway Patrol will be hosting their Truck Driver Appreciation Day event tomorrow at the Chowchilla River Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility.
Come enjoy the day with us as we recognize the efforts of the professional truck driver. There will be free food and refreshments, driver safety and industry information, and displays and presentations by members of the commercial industry and law enforcement. We had another successful "Truck Driver Appreciation Day" at the Grapevine Inspection Facility on Tuesday, October 4th. We served over 200 drivers and CHP personnel and all were very grateful. We continue to build a positive relationship with the CHP and that means so much to our members and their drivers. We appreciate all those who were able to attend and our Kern Unit Committee volunteers that are always there to help make events like this a success to be proud of. - Bill "Burgie" Burgemaster

Sacramento Unit is having a lunch meeting and unit election October 18 at CTA Headquarters, Sacramento. Speaker RJ Cervantes, Director of Legislative Affairs, will review emerging regulatory and legislative threats to your business, and discuss what CTA is doing to battle them. Also, a representative from EROAD will discuss the FMCSA Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) rule. Click here for more information.
The San Joaquin County Human Trafficking Task Force and San Joaquin Delta College present Human Trafficking Symposium: The Dark World of Human Trafficking in Our Community. The event will take place on Friday, Oct 21 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Click here for more details.
