The California Air Resources Board (CARB or Board) invites you to participate in a public workshop regarding assessment of a Zero Emission Vehicle Requirement for Public and Private Light- and Heavy-Duty Vehicle Fleets. The meeting will be held at the CalEPA Headquarters Building in Sacramento. This meeting will be webcast for those unable to attend in person.

The LA/Orange Unit held a meeting last week on the Dynamex Decision. Attorney Robert Roginson of Ogletree Deakins, gave an update on the impact the Dynamex Decision has today and how it will impact independent contractors moving forward. Eric Sauer, CTA Sr. VP of Goverment Affairs gave an update on the legal strategies CTA is taking to fight the decision.

California employers affected by the fires or other disasters in the following counties: Lake, Mendocino, Napa, Riverside, Shasta, Mariposa, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, San Diego, or Siskiyou may request an extension of up to 60 days to file their state payroll reports and to deposit state payroll taxes with EDD, without penalty or interest. The extension is granted under Section 1111.5 of the California Unemployment Insurance Code (CUIC) if the Governor declares a state of emergency. Learn More
