CTA in Action: Government Affairs Update
We have put together a sample of the bills CTA is following that includes position, author, bill description, and how the bill has performed through the committee process. If these bills are passed and signed into law, they would have a significant impact on labor, tax, and environmental regulations and your business operations.
Earlier this month, CTA members let us know they have been having issues with the quality of their IFTA stickers (decals). CTA immediately reached out to the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) and worked with them on a solution. CDTFA will be replacing damages stickers at no cost. For instructions on how to obtain replacement stickers, contact Heather Oneto immediately at honeto@caltrux.org. Compliance and Regulatory News
ATRI has recently issued a call for motor carriers to participate in ATRI’s annual update to its Operational Costs of Trucking report. ATRI’s annual Operational Costs of Trucking is now in its 11th year of collecting cost information derived directly from fleet operations and is among its most requested research reports. ATRI’s annual analysis provides carriers with a critical benchmarking tool. Government agencies utilize ATRI’s real-world data analysis to make better-informed transportation infrastructure investment decisions.
