The focus of the workshop will be on developing a strategic vision for Urban Water Management in Canada for the next half century.  The vision will address three major topics of national interest: Climate change, Risk Management and Asset Management.

Participants at the workshop on June 3 in Ottawa envisioned a happy population – an optimistic vision. They identified four interrelated topics: SMART cities, Security, Sustainability, and Resilience as key areas of concern that will shape the future of Urban Water Management.

What does a SMART, Secure, Sustainable, and Resilient City of the future look like?
  • A Flood Proof City?
  • An Equitable City?
  • A Prosperous City?
  • A Healthy City?
  • An Affordable City?
  • An Inclusive City?
  • A Financially Stable City?
  • An Exciting City?
  • A Vibrant City?
  • An Innovative City?
  • A Proud City?
  • A Safe City?

These are some of the topics to be discussed and developed during the Workshop on November 6 at 1:30PM.
