The Centre for Biosecurity is seeking your help in establishing a Canadian baseline for laboratory acquired infections (LAIs) through an online survey.
Two perspectives are needed: 1) Facility/Institution level, and, 2) Staff level. The Centre is inviting all stakeholders and facility managers to
- Complete the online survey or designate to one person on your behalf (e.g., a BSO) who can provide institution-wide responses AND
- Forward this email to all laboratory staff within your facility, inviting as them all to complete the survey based on their personal knowledge and experience.
Data from laboratory surveys have served as an important foundation to the understanding of LAIs worldwide as well as being a critical impetus for strengthening biosafety policies and practice.
Your participation will help the Centre assemble the first significant and most up-to-date Canadian data on LAIs and biosafety policies and practices. Aggregated results will be shared via an informal summary of survey findings as well as submitted for peer-review publication.
Note, all responses will be anonymous and your open and full participation is appreciated.
