The FCM Green Municipal Funds Partners for Places program is a collaborative matching grant program that connects local governments with local funders to invest in sustainability projects. The program, funded by the Funders' Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities (TFN), builds relationships while creating opportunities for municipalities and regions in Canada and the United States to improve their communities.
Under the Partners for Places model, funding bodies match local investments in projects that promote a healthy environment, a strong economy and the well-being of all residents. The program provides partnership investments of between $25,000 and $75,000 for one-year projects, or $50,000 and $150,000 for two-year projects, with a 1:1 match required by one or more local foundations.
The Funders' Network, in partnership with the Urban Sustainability Directors Network, is pleased to announce the opening of Round Eight of Partners for Places.
The application deadline for Round Eight is January 29, 2016 (by 11:59 p.m., any time zone), and awards will be announced on May 6, 2016. Visit Partners for Places to learn more about the program and how to apply. Contact Adrian Martinez or Ann Wallace for more information.
