Environment and Climate Change Canada published in the February 20, 2016, edition of Canada Gazette Part I a notice stating that the Minister of the Environment had concluded with Saskatchewan an agreement covering the administration and enforcement of the Wastewater Systems Effluent Regulations (WSER) in the province.
The objectives of the Agreement are to delineate roles and responsibilities for the Parties and describe how the Parties will cooperate with respect to enforcement activities while continuing to recognize federal government responsibility for the WSER, and Saskatchewan responsibilities for the enforcement of the province’s Waterworks and Sewage Works Regulations (WSWR).
