Speaking Opportunity: Canadian speaker for the 10th International Symposium on Water Supply Technology (IWA), July 2015 Japan
Japan Water Research Center is going to host the 10th International Symposium on Water Supply Technology (IWA) from July 20 to 22 in 2015 at Kobe International Exhibition Hall, Kobe City, Japan.
The Center has been hosting the symposium every three years for about past 30 years and the next year’s will be the 10th one. The conference (and the exhibition) is all about drinking water. They invite speakers from different parts of the world to talk about related technologies, management issues and other aspects on water supply.
Currently JWRC is in the process of choosing guest speakers for this event. They would like to invite a speaker from Canada since Canada is known for advanced technologies and systems for water / waste water. Travel and accommodation are funded.They are looking for a speaker in the session on July 20th who can speak the following themes for 30 min.
- Practical aspects of Canadian drinking water services useful to Japanese water utilities (challenges, solutions, advance technologies etc.)
- Drinking water services and technologies in Canada (or province)
- Changes made to the federal water policy and legislation after the Walkerton Tragedy (e.g. Clean Water Act 2006, Waterproof 3)
