CWWA Water Security Project Update
Since April 2016, the MacEachen Institute has been working with the CWWA to investigate current security risks and practices in the Canadian water and wastewater sector. Over the past year, we have completed reports on the legislative, policy, and academic landscapes around water security in Canada. We are currently conducting interviews with water and wastewater operators as well as regulators. Our interviews will be completed by mid-May, and will be followed by an Online Survey sent out to the general CWWA membership. In Fall 2017, we will release our final report, including our findings from the interviews and surveys, as well as a risk profile for the water sector, and recommendations for the sector going forward. Please contact Adrian Toth at
atoth@cwwa.ca if you have any further questions about our research.
