Immersion vibrated roller-compacted concrete, or IVRCC, is a new concept for constructing RCC dams. Simply put, IVRCC is a single RCC mixture that can be consolidated by both immersion vibrators and smooth drum vibrating rollers. This allows a single, durable RCC mixture to be utilized for the dam, exterior dam facing, and interface contacts at foundations and other concrete elements. A single mix and more continuous RCC construction process can improve production and reduce costs.
