The Kim de Rubertis Student Scholarship Program awards scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students in the field of dams, levees, and water resources. The program promotes career paths for young professions and provide opportunities in professional organizations. Information on criteria and application process will be available in December 2024. |

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) announced the kickoff of Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience (CISR) Month. The safety and security of the nation depends on the ability of critical infrastructure owners and operators to prepare for and adapt to changing conditions and to withstand and recover rapidly from disruptions. That’s why this November we are continuing with our enduring theme of Resolve to be Resilient.
Throughout November, CISA will highlight how critical infrastructure organizations can help make our critical infrastructure secure, resilient, and able to bounce back quickly and build back stronger when disruptions occur.

The 32nd FEMA National Dam Safety Program Technical Seminar (NDSPTS) is scheduled for Feb. 19-20, 2025, at the Emergency Management Institute in Emmitsburg, Maryland. This year’s theme is “Innovations in Dam Safety: Collaborative State and Federal Efforts.” The program is now accepting abstracts for presentations, workshops, and training sessions for just one more week. This is your opportunity to reach over 300 dam safety professionals. We invite abstract submissions across a range of topics, with a focus on new innovations and advancements that are shaping the future of dam safety. The new deadline to submit is Dec 4. Submit here!
International Technical Seminar and Study Tour
The SEED Seminar is designed for managers, administrators, engineers, and geologists responsible for the design, construction, operation, maintenance, and safety of dams. Lectures, case histories, and structured discussions covering all aspects of a dam safety examination program are led by Reclamation engineers or geologists with extensive experience and knowledge in the areas of design, construction, operation, maintenance, and dam safety.
