156th Annual Construction Safety Excellence Awards
The TEXO Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) is an ongoing and evolving effort to recognize companies who have developed and implemented excellent safety and loss prevention programs achieved through management commitment, employee involvement, and program innovation. All TEXO members are encouraged to submit nominations for each division and occupational category.

We are now taking applications for 4 individual awards in 2014. These awards are given to individuals who personify what TEXO stands for and have made a difference in the construction field in 2014. The SIR Award and Magnolia Award will each be given to one individual. The Superintendent of the Year and Safety Professional of the Year will be given to an individual from one General Contractor and one Specialty Contractor. CEF is looking for volunteers to assist with their annual Build Your Future Construction Career Day on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, which will be held at CEF’s DFW Education Center in Irving. We are anticipating a total of 800 students along with approximately 60 school personnel to attend this event. This course covers operation of cranes in the construction industry using the OSHA construction Cranes and Derricks Standard as a guide. This course will familiarize participants with the procedures, regulations, and safety standards for scaffolding. About the Program
The TEXO Safety First program is a hands-on, interactive orientation for commercial construction employees in all divisions so they can learn the essentials of jobsite safety. This unique program provides an industry specific orientation in safety which all commercial contractors can use. Endorsed by industry leaders in the field of construction safety, during each instructional session, participants handle the equipment they are being trained to understand and operate. Participants also have real-time conversations with the instructor and other class participants on the components of each module.
