Be Pro Be Proud, an initiative designed to help students explore, plan and launch careers in high-demand technical professions, has announced its expansion into Texas in collaboration with TEXO Foundation.
Over a three-year period, Be Pro Be Proud will mobilize a touring workshop across middle and high schools in the North Central Texas region, offering immersive virtual and augmented reality technical career simulators in construction, welding, manufacturing, transportation and utilities. Grab your tongs and get your smokers started - registration is NOW OPEN for the 2024 TEXO Foundation Tailgate, the fifth and final event in our annual Challenge Cup series, presented by Milwaukee Tool! The TEXO OSHA 10 Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program provides general awareness for entry or field-level construction workers. The training program covers recognizing, mitigating and preventing hazards on a construction site. This is an instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive.
