Yesterday, April 27, Governor Abbott announced the State of Texas's phased plan to reopen our economy in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. The current stay-at-home order will be allowed to expire at 11:59PM on Thursday, April 30 and will not be renewed. His new executive order will supersede all local orders and should be seen as permission to open, not a requirement. Click below to read the full Governor's Report to Open Texas.

Confidence among U.S. construction industry leaders plunged in response to the economic fallout associated with the coronavirus outbreak, according to the newest Associated Builders and Contractors' Construction Confidence Index, released yesterday. Readings for sales, profit margin and staffing level expectations fell below the threshold of 50 for the first time in the history of the series, signaling contraction along all three metrics. Confidence is likely to decline further as construction firms experience the full extent of the COVID-19 crisis, said ABC Chief Economist Anirban Basu.

If an OSHA 10 is required, you must attend a face-to-face class once they resume.
