Gains across all residential and nonresidential sectors buoyed construction employment in September with 22,000 added jobs for the month, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That left the industry's jobless rate at 4.5%, improving significantly from 7.1% a year before.

U.S. construction technology investor funding has reached a record $2.1 billion so far this year, more than a 100% increase from a year ago. Industry experts say the COVID-19 pandemic sparked this boom in investor activity, but that the industry is still in the early phase of innovation.

Safe driving is the result of training, skill, planning, and action – not chance. The majority of all motor vehicle accidents are caused by driver error or poor operating practices including fatigue, inadequate training/retention, and alcohol/drugs use. Only a small percentage of accidents are due to mechanical failure or improper maintenance. Vehicle accident prevention should focus on these two controllable factors, driver error and vehicle failure.
