Construction input prices increased 0.3% in October compared to the previous month, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Producer Price Index data released today. 
“Construction input prices inched higher in October, but that was largely due to an increase in petroleum prices,” said ABC Chief Economist Anirban Basu. “Certain categories, like steel mill products and iron and steel, experienced sharp price declines for the month. This is a welcome development for contractors, as just 31% expect profit margins to rise over the next six months, according to Associated Builders and Contractors’ Construction Confidence Index.

The White House intends for the second year of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to match or exceed disbursements from the first year of the law. National Economic Council Director Brian Deese thinks doing so will not exacerbate inflation and expects efforts to fund the digital economy and transportation and industrial sectors will alleviate supply chain concerns.

The two-day TEXO OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program provides general awareness for entry or field-level construction workers. The training program covers recognizing, mitigating, and preventing hazards on a construction site. We have incorporated a virtual reality component to enhance the participants' engagement and connection to the material.

This is an instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.
