With historically low voter turnout for elections held in May, encouragement is more important than ever for your voice to be heard on the future of local government representation. Every vote in favor of a bond initiative on the ballot is a vote for future work in the construction industry.
TEXO is encouraging members to be decision makers and vote in early voting or on Election Day, Saturday, May 6.
On Wednesday, April 26 at 9 a.m. CT, the Congressional House Small Business Committee's Subcommittee on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Workforce Development will hold a hearing titled “Help Wanted: Exploring How Alternative Paths to Student Debt Can Help to Strengthen Small Business.” TEXO President/CEO Meloni Raney will be testifying on behalf of AGC National regarding workforce needs of our industry, the value of a career in construction, our local workforce development & craft training efforts and policies needed to meet local workforce needs.
