Employment picks up in most states but federal cuts loom; rail, factory construction rise
In February, seasonally adjusted nonfarm payroll employment increased from a year earlier in 49 states and the District of Columbia and dipped by 0.3% (800 jobs) in Wyoming, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported. Read more
