The Certified Forklift Technician is a nationally portable, industry-led, hands-on training and assessment certification program designed to prepare individuals with in-demand skills to maintain, service, and repair forklift trucks.The CFT was created to raise performance of forklift technicians both to assist individuals in finding higher paying jobs and to help employers find more talent and ensure that talent is skilled. As of October 1st, dealerships, manufacturers, community colleges, technical schools and high schools can order CFT courseware and begin implementing the CFT. For more information, visit www.msscusa.org/cft The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its July 2019 Booked Orders decreased 24.3% when compared to July 2018 orders. July 2019 booked orders when compared to June 2019 booked orders up 4.9%. July Booked Orders were up 8.7% for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 2.9% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to June. CEMA’s July 2019 Billed Sales (shipments) decreased by 1.2% when compared to July 2018 sales. July 2019 billed sales when compared to June billed sales were up 8.0%. July Billed Sales were down 1.6% for Bulk Handling Equipment and up 11.6% for Unit Handling Equipment when compared to June.
