A look back at 2018 - and saying goodbye

Sometimes I am not sure where the time goes. It seems like only yesterday I was writing about what 2018 will bring and here we are about to usher in 2019. Time does fly!

I encouraged you at the beginning of the year to make the most of your CMP. Personally, I did this by recertifying my CMP in the first quarter and checking it off my to-do list. I networked with CMPs throughout the year at different industry events. I engaged our community through leading the CMP Governance Commission. I (hopefully) led the commission to be more successful in the future, always hoping to leave things better.

We found success with the commission in advancing our work through countless hours of dedication by our wonderful commission members: Barbara Connell, Matt DiSalvo (immediate past chair), Jessica McLane Gann (public member), Aleka Garcia (vice chair), Timothy Glanzer, Tyra Hilliard, Cornelia Horner, Deanna House, Verena Jandak-Hollenthoner, Leslie Jones, Steven Lorenz, Alisa Stewart and Robert Webb. Thank you all for your contributions.

The groundwork that was laid will lead us to 2019 when Aleka Garcia takes over as chair and Barbara Connell as vice chair. I look forward to their leadership and the future success of the commission and the CMP.
