As a CMP, you are always working to enhance the knowledge and performance of meeting professionals around you, and submitting a session proposal for CMP Conclave 2019 is the perfect way to continue sharing your expertise with other event professionals.
Ready to submit? Here’s what you need to know!
We’re looking for innovative content, presented during 60-minute breakout sessions, that challenges CMPs to think differently. Your proposal must align with one of the nine domains found in the CMP International Standards. If you’re stumped on identifying a topic area, try using one of the ideas below as a jumping off point!
- Professional development – mentoring, empowerment of meeting planners, using your CMP, leadership
- Future trends – sustainability, inclusion and diversity, health care, food and beverage trends, technology
- Business management – contracting, sourcing/working with suppliers, budget management, GDPR, marketing & social media, strategic planning, submitting RFPs
- Logistics – learning styles/environmental design, ADA compliance, wireless internet monopoly, emergency/disaster preparedness, production (i.e., trusses, overhead lighting, LED walls, etc.), safety and security
Don’t forget: Presentations are peer reviewed—your presentation will be evaluated based on content, session design and creativity, relevance of the topic to the industry, presenter expertise and clarity of description.
