EIC's Workshop: Accelerating Equity in the Events Industry

The Events Industry Council, through its Centre for Sustainability and Social Impact, has launched an ambitious plan to accelerate equity and lead the challenge against racism and all forms of discrimination in the global business events industry. The EIC Equity Task Force's mission is to create more diverse and inclusive career pathways, representation in leadership, supply chains, and event environments where everyone feels a sense of belonging and empowerment to engage and uplift communities and society.

Join us to hear early results from EIC's landmark benchmark study to determine the current state of diversity, equity and inclusion within the workplace across the events industry. You'll have the opportunity to participate in discussions on the development of tools, resources and recommendations to turn our vision to action and lead the challenge against discrimination and systemic racism in the events industry. The discussion will focus on:

• Organisation Guidelines: Voluntary guidelines to adopt effective policies and practices in both the workplace and the marketplace.
• Industry Leadership: Recommendations for creating career pathways that support greater diversity in events industry leadership roles.
• Career Pathways: Strategies for attracting diverse talent, such as scholarships, mentors and education programmes.
• Event Toolkit: Tools to create inclusive events and diverse supply chains integrated into the EIC Sustainable Event Standards.
