In today's connected world, it's hard to imagine a time when access to the internet wasn't within the palm of everyone’s hands. Whether using a meeting app, taking notes, texting, emailing or posting to social media, connectivity is a vital part of everyday life – and every meeting. With the ultimate goal of developing a body of knowledge from which to build guidelines and accepted practices, the CIC APEX Standards Committee has commissioned a task force to research the level of awareness of the many types of cyber threats, current level of preparedness of meetings organizations, and our industry’s comprehension of the unique vulnerabilities they face at offsite events. Please take a few minutes to add critical input to our efforts to equip our industry to more clearly understand the issue so that we are better prepared when the bad guys strike.
