Events and Programmes
More
and more events are going paperless, and it’s easy to understand why: Paperless
meetings allow you to reduce printing (and environmental) costs, they are more
forgiving for last-minute edits, and participants appreciate the convenience of
having the information they need on their devices. That said, paperless events
can increase your cyber risks. Fortunately, there are practical ways to
mitigate that risk.

David Peckinpaugh, CMP, CIS, and president of Maritz Global
Events, recently spoke to attendees at Experient’s Changing Agents-themed
conference. His focus centered on how design is fundamental to what CMPs and
event planners do in their industry. He encouraged participants to embrace
experience design, and how focusing on intentional design can help preempt
changes in the industry to come.

Peckinpaugh was recognised as an Events Industry
Council Hall of Leaders inductee in 2017.
