It was a holiday tradition in our house. You stated your intention for the new year, as the clock rolled through midnight, and that intention would come to life in the brand new, fresh, and full of hope… Brand. New. Year. So here’s to hoping it works this year, my friends.

What a ride. From January where I started the year with an event for a few hundreds when things were spiking during the first bout with COVID-19, into July with a group of over 1,500 in the house right before the second wave, and now closing out December typing to you from the brand new (and very lovely) Four Seasons Napa on a Monday morning, after a long weekend filled with omicron headlines. This year has literally felt like a COVID-19 sandwich and one I am tired of eating. So stating my intention here for all of you, 2022 is the year we rebuild and recover. It won’t be a cakewalk, but we will get it done like we always do.

This year, CMPs and CMP-HCs who earned their certifications in 2016, 2011, 2006, 2001, 1996, 1991 and 1986 are all scheduled to recertify.

You now have two options to recertify your CMP, with the deadline approaching if you would like to remain an active CMP.

Option A: Recertify by the deadline of 11:59 PM EST on 31 December 2021. You will remain as an active status CMP, which means you can continue to utilise your certification and digital badge. The recertification fee is $275 USD and will continue at this rate through the December 2021 deadline. After this deadline, you will pay a $375 USD reinstatement fee.

Option B: If a CMP misses the 31 December 2021 deadline, they are “lapsed,” which means they are no longer certified and are unable to use the CMP credential or digital badge. However, you can now reinstate your certification without taking the exam if you apply for reinstatement before 11:59 PM EST on 31 December 2022. The reinstatement fee is $375 USD.

No matter which option you choose, we hope you will continue on your CMP journey.
