As a holder of the CMP designation, you know that you had to take an exam that assessed your knowledge, skills and competencies you acquired over the years. This knowledge is based on the body of knowledge called the CMP International Standards. You also know that you didn’t simply attend a training class or read a manual to earn your CMP designation. Therein lies the difference in the two programs.

There are many continuing education hours you can complete from your own desk? Webinars, both live and on-demand, have already been approved for recertification credit through CIC’s Preferred Provider Program. You can find them all listed by clicking on the "Events & Education" tab on the home page of your online CMP portal. Remember, when you sign up for a webinar, make sure the email you give the webinar provider matches the email in your CMP online account. For the live events, your attendance will be loaded into your account by the webinar host. For on-demand events, make sure to download a screenshot of the first and last page of the webinar, which you can use to self-report your attendance.
