The following letter was written to Maureen Lambe with the NAAEI.
Dear NAB Partner,
As you know, the Executive Mentor Program is the signature program of DECA’s National Advisory Board (NAB) and the centerpiece of DECA’s youth leadership development programs. This program matches 600 graduating high school seniors with an elite group of 60 executives to discuss the transition from high school to college and work.
The NAB’s vision for establishing the Executive Mentor Program was:
· To empower NAB members to demonstrate the impact, value and purpose of their partnership to senior executives within their organization.
· To create and opportunity for NAB members to make a personal and meaningful contribution to DECA’s student programming.
· To engage all NAB members in the development of DECA’s NAB.
We are very pleased to announce that Pat Williams, widely credited for bringing the Magic NBA Franchise to Orlando, will guest-host this year’s program. We are especially greatful to our NAB partners at the NBA, and with the Orlando Magic, for securing Mr. Williams’ time for us. This will definitely be a program that you and your decision makers will not want to miss!
While our program need is 60 mentors, our recruitment goal is 70. As of today, we’re a little less than half way to our goal with about 25 percent of NAB responding.
Thank you for your continuing support of this important program. I look forward to seeing each of you in Orlando!
Sincerely,
John Fistolera
