No doubt, there are lots of great educational opportunities
at this year’s FAA Education Conference & Trade Show "The Climb". You name it and this conference has it;
team building, fair housing, market info, et cetera. And now, we have EVEN more.
Each year we reserve a spot for a "Hot Topic" on the
schedule, and this year it’s a topic nobody should miss. I wanted to call it "Confessions
of a Recovering Regulator", but that name didn’t make the cut. That said, for the first time ever, you
can attend a class where you will learn to weather a regulatory inspection from
the EPA, DBPR, Code Enforcement, Health Department, you name it. Anna Long is a former inspector who
went to work for the private sector bringing with her an extensive background
and the tips of the trade. She has
trained major corporations, and now defends property owners who have been
hammered by over-zealous regulators.
This class will train you what to do when the regulators knock, what
you’re required to do, how to behave, and how NOT to talk yourself into higher fines
and penalties (or even criminal charges).
It doesn’t matter what type(s) of community you own, manage,
or operate it’s a certainty that you will be subject to an inspection at one time
or another. One hour of your time
in this class could save you countless hours of "clean up" and "damage control"
not to mention thousands of dollars.
