Brenda Pritchard of Horizon Realty Management and Tracy Williams of WRH Realty Services have been elected officers for 2013 by IREM Chapter 35. Brenda, a past president of FAA, will serve as president, while Tracy will serve as secretary. The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) is an international community of real estate managers across all property types, dedicated to ethical business practices and maximizing the value of investment real estate.

Equity Residential and AvalonBay have agreed to pay $6.5 billion in cash and stock to buy multifamily management company Archstone, which owns several properties in Florida. Under the agreement between the two real estate investment trusts and seller Lehman Brothers Holdings, Equity Residential would buy 60 percent of Archstone, with Avalon getting the balance.
The two REITs have not detailed how the Archstone portfolio of 23,000 apartments would be divvied up. Archstone had also considered going public, but chose instead to agree to the purchase.
WRH Realty Services has donated more than $3,400 dollars to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Each year WRH Realty Services, Inc. continues to give back to the community by contributing to local charities and organizations. The past few years, WRH Realty Services employees have been touched by how many men, women and children are affected by this deadly disease each year. This year, WRH promoted "Pink" to all of our team members and encouraged everyone to show their support in finding a cure for breast cancer. Team members donated over $3,400 dollars to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and received WRH pink polo shirts. Employees wore these pink shirts with pride throughout October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. |
