SCAA Board Changes the Association Name

On August 23, 2013, SCAA became the Space Coast Apartment Association, again. For many long-time association members, you will recognize this as the original name for the apartment association located in Brevard County and formed in 1986. During early 2009 when the association began expansion outside of the original boarders, the board voted to change the name to one that was perceived to have a broader appeal. The name that was adopted was the Sun Coast Apartment Association; a name which the board came to realize was more closely recognized as being located on the west coast of Florida than on the east coast where SCAA is actually located. After a recent discussion with the current board members, it was decided that SCAA should take back the historic name to prevent the confusion. We are proud to be named the Space Coast Apartment Association, a name that is recognized worldwide as being located on the east coast of Florida.
