A total of 17 foursomes played in beautiful summer weather on Aug. 25 at Sycamore Hills Golf Club as the Michigan Chapter of the American Fence Association (AFA) hosted its traditional annual golf outing.
Chapter president Tom Bement welcomed members and guests, and the day was topped off with a buffet dinner and awards ceremony.
Among the prizes were a giant screen TV, gift certificates, golf clothing and accessories, plus a 50/50 payout of over $200.
Long-time event chair Dick Fromm reported that 18 additional members joined the group just for dinner and fellowship.
Fromm said he considers this year’s event one of the best in the 20 plus years that he has promoted it. He noted that special thanks is due to Mark Grzanka, Robert Miller and Aletha Buiter for their outstanding help and follow-through to make the day a success.
The pin flag sponsorship was especially popular with the membership, Fromm said. He also thanked Randy Huyck of Action Fence of Michigan for taking the photographs.
