IMPORTANT CANADIAN ANTI-SPAM LAW CONSENT REQUIRED FROM AFA MEMBERS IN CANADA

Recent changes in Canadian law affect AFA’s ability to communicate with you through Commercial Electronic Messages. These are communications to an email, instant messaging, telephone or similar accounts. Under the law, we only need your implied consent to communicate with you in this manner until June 30, 2017. Our existing relationship with you as a member of AFA has given and may continue to give us that implied consent. Effective July 1, 2017, however, the Canadian Anti-Spam Law (CASL) could require that we have your express, affirmative consent in order for us to continue communicating with you via email, text message or pre-recorded voice messages.
AFA is sending you this to request your express consent to receive emails from AFA under CASL. Once you respond to this email, we will have your express consent and you will not have to renew your consent each year. This is a one-time consent. Also, you may unsubscribe at any time by emailing tony@americanfenceassociation.com.
If you do not provide your express consent, AFA will no longer be able to send you important Commercial Electronic Messages, including but not limited to AFA bulletins, FENCETECH materials, membership and other industry information, or meeting notices.
In order to continue receiving this important information, you will need to provide your express consent by responding no later than June 30, 2017.
If you have any questions, please email Tony Thornton [tony@americanfenceassociation.com] or call 1-800-822-4342.
