WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE DECK & RAIL INSTITUTE?

The results of the conversations from the codes and standards committee have exposed the need to develop hands-on deck and rail training. The Education and Training Committee will develop the training programs according to the guidelines and standards in place.
 
One goal of the Education and Training Committee is to establish a weeklong training offered as part of AFA University for deck and rail professionals. Another long-term goal is to establish a certification program geared toward deck and rail professionals.
 
The culmination of these efforts will create positive change in the industry. If your business includes deck and rail, we encourage you to join the Deck & Rail Institute.
 
Current AFA members can join as a “Charter Member” at a special rate and keep that membership rate as long as your AFA membership never lapses.
