AFA University has built a reputation for providing quality educational training to our members, and this year will be no different. Join us at the Hilton Arlington from Nov. 5-10, 2017. AFA will offer Automated Gate Systems Design School (AGSD); Operator Installer School (OIS); Sales Training School (STS); and Fence Installation School (FIS). Need to take a certification exam? The CAGOI, CAGSD, CFP and First Aid/CPR certifications will also be available. Whether you are new to the industry or a seasoned professional, AFA University offers something for everyone. Registration will open in June.

Do you want to save at least the cost of your AFA membership and potentially thousands of dollars? The Member Savings Program (MSP) is a complimentary benefit to all AFA members and is easy to enroll in. Please join Mark Schiavone on April 26, 2017, at 1 p.m. CST for an informational webinar on how you can save thousands of dollars on overhead costs. A recent Texas member saved around $70,000 annually and we want to do the same for you.

In an effort to provide relevant programs, services and resources to our members, AFA requests your feedback about the industry as it relates to your region. This will help AFA identify areas of growth as well as challenges facing its members. The survey will take two minutes or less to complete.

What is it that drives employee motivation? More specifically, what is it that causes an employee to WANT to do his or her job? After all, the answer to these important questions are the key to the motivation of employees and employer happiness. And, even more important than knowing what it is that motivates an employee is whether or not this motivation is something that will cause an employee to go through the motions of doing the job or instill actual desire for a job well done in the employee's mind.
