Rooftop decks can be gamechangers for homeowners short on yard space. They can also lift homeowners above the fence line for beautiful views of their neighborhood. However, these decks can be complicated to build safely, and that's where it's essential have the support of a qualifed fence and deck professional.
In our May/June issue of Fencepost magazine, we hear from Fortress Building Products about material options, design innovations, safety awareness, and more. Read the article here.

It's summer, and that means heat safety is a top priority. According to OSHA:
Millions of U.S. workers are exposed to heat in their workplaces. Although illness from exposure to heat is preventable, every year, thousands become sick from occupational heat exposure, and some cases are fatal. Most outdoor fatalities, 50% to 70%, occur in the first few days of working in warm or hot environments because the body needs to build a tolerance to the heat gradually over time.
The process of building tolerance is called heat acclimatization. Lack of acclimatization represents a major risk factor for fatal outcomes. Find more heat safety resources, fliers, articles and more on OSHA's website: www.osha.gov/heat-exposure.
