Food Shippers of America is researching this growing area of supply chain management and is looking for shippers or receivers that are actively using or pursuing blockchain technology. The Shippers Group has moved to its new distribution facility in Hutchins, TX. The new 560,000-square-foot distribution facility is now home to TSG's corporate headquarters. Located just minutes from downtown Dallas, the new facility boasts 89 dock doors, secured yard, Union Pacific Railroad service and room for cooler space.

Geotab Fleets based in Canada will spend the next year transitioning to ELDs under the Department of Transport Ministry's new Transport Canada ELD mandate. Currently bus and truck drivers in Canada are required to self-report their drive and rest times, but all are tasked with completing the transition to ELD use by June 2021.

Supermarket News Walmart has quietly rolled out a new subscription-based delivery service dubbed "Delivery Unlimited" that gives customers the option of paying a $98 yearly, or $12.95 monthly fee for same-day delivery instead of the $9.95 per order fee already in place. The pilot program is currently being run in Houston, Miami, Salt Lake City and Tampa, FL.

John spent more than 40 years in the transportation industry of which the last half was at The Borden Food Company where he retired in 1995. Upon retiring from Borden, John spent 14 years as the Executive Director of Food Shippers of America.
