Food Shippers of America is proud to announce our partnership with Cvent in creating a new registration process for our 63rd Annual Food Shippers of America Conference scheduled March 11-13, 2018, at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix, AZ. We are just putting the finishing touches on the process and it will be available July 1, 2017. If you have attended an FSA conference in the last three years you will receive an email invitation which will include your own unique voucher number that will be needed when you access the link within the email invitation to complete your conference registration.

Upon completion of your conference registration you will be provided with a link to secure your room at the conference hotel.

PLEASE NOTE: You will be able to register for the conference and select the Pay by Check option to complete payment at a later date (Payment must be received by February 1, 2018.) to access hotel registration.

The new system will also assist in monitoring the number of attendees per non-shipper and receiver companies.

If you have never attended our conference, please contact media@foodshippersofamerica.org with your contact information and we will make sure you receive your own conference email invitation.

Rob Penner, Bison's president and CEO, has been named chairman of the Truckload Carriers Association for the 2017-2018 term. Penner is the second Canadian to ever hold a chairman position.

Penner began his career in the transportation industry in 1984 as a professional truck driver and joined Bison Transport in 1991, moving through all aspects of operations. He was appointed vice president of operations in 1998 and was promoted to his current role in January 2017.

An active participant in the transportation community, Penner has served on the board of directors for both the Toronto and Ontario trucking associations and the Trucking Profitability Strategies Advisory Board at the University of Georgia-Athens. He has also been a member of numerous other working committees and advisory boards, and is active with the American Trucking Associations.

For TCA, Penner has been involved in numerous capacities. He chaired the Regulatory Policy Committee from 2010-11 and is a past member of the Highway Policy committee, the Benchmarking Best Practices Group, and the Financial Oversight & Long-Range Planning Task Force. A member of the organization’s executive committee and board of directors, he has also held the positions of treasurer, at-large officer and first vice chair.
