After almost 30 years at the Forney Road warehouse and corporate offices, The Shippers Group has moved. The move to a brand-new 560,000 sq ft. distribution facility, which is now home to TSG’s Corporate Headquarters, creates a campus environment alongside the existing Wintergreen Road facility in Hutchins, TX.

Bison Transport Inc. announced April 1 the acquisition of Amherst, WI.-based H.O. Wolding, Inc. HOW is a 320-truck, dry van fleet with truckload operations in the U.S. Midwest, Northeast and Southeast regions. "We are very pleased to welcome the drivers, staff and partners of HOW to the Bison family," said Bison's Executive Chairman, Don Streuber.

H&M Bay, Inc. has broken ground on a 51,000 sq. ft. LTL consolidation center and cold storage facility located in Lawrenceburg, TN. H&M Bay will provide LTL service for shipments originating in Tennessee, Kentucky, northern Alabama, and northern Mississippi to the 48 contiguous states. The Lawrenceburg facility will also offer cold storage and fulfillment services.

Bison Transport announced April 29 that it had acquired all of the assets of the container on flat car ("COFC") intermodal operations of Indianapolis, IN-based Celadon Group, Inc.
The acquisition includes operating personnel, drivers, customers and supplier relationships. This represents the continued growth of Bison's intermodal service and enhances its ability to support cross-border shippers in Canada, the United States and Mexico.

John Murphy was one of the long-standing members of the Food Shippers of America organization both as a food manufacturer and as the Executive Director. John spent more than 40 years in the transportation industry of which the last half was at The Borden Food Company where he retired in 1995. Upon retiring from Borden, John spent 14 years as the Executive Director of Food Shippers of America.
