The American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) is looking for warehouse space to facilitate the distribution of needed food items and/or relief supplies. Their current needs are:
- LA / San Fernando Valley region: 10,000-100,000 SF, dry storage needed. No labor required but would appreciate access to forklift, pallet jack and scale; 18-24 month use expectation. Need is immediate. Product is relief supplies.
- Houston (northern Houston preferred): 2,000 SF, dry storage needed with access between 0900-1700 hours. No labor required; 6 month use expectation. Need is immediate. Product is water.
- Bay County, FL - Panama City (33401, 32402, 32405) or Lynn Haven (32444) preferred: 5,000-8,000 SF dry storage needed. No labor needed but would appreciate access to forklift or pallet jack.; 9 month use need expectation. Product is construction/home repair materials. Need starting April 15, 2021.
- Aberdeen (or nearby), WA: 25,000 SF dry storage needed. No labor required. Use expectation is undetermined at this time. Product will be donated goods for local community distribution. Need is immediate.

Grocery Dive Indoor farming company Infarm joins the growing ranks of companies answering the demand for "locally grown" produce year-round with urban distribution centers housing mini farms of leafy greens delivering direct to metropolitan markets such as Seattle, Vancouver and London. Freightwaves Port clearage on the West Coast, increased Asia-Pacific manufacturing, and growing e-commerce use, plus rising diesel fuel and trucking costs have raised the needle on the cost-savings spread between intermodal and trucking.
