QC: Public Invited to Comment on Québec Energy Transition Plan

In April 2016, the Québec government launched its new energy policy: Lāénergie des Québécois ā Source de croissance and energy transition is at the heart of this policy.
In order to successfully make this transition, the government mandated Transition énergétique Québec (TEQ) to coordinate the development of a blueprint for the province. This plan will set out the main objectives and measures the will enable Québec to gain ground in its energy transition over the next five years.
The energy transition plan is focused on five main priorities, including energy efficiency, reducing the petroleum products consumption, production and consumption of renewable energy, facilitating innovation and promoting socioeconomic development.
TEQ is requesting public comments on more than 100 measures that are being examined to achieve this goal. Click here to comment on these proposed measures (French only). The consultation period ends December 8.
