NB: City of Bathurst Relies on Auto Propane to Balance 2018 Budget

On January 22, 2018, the city of Bathurst, New Brunswick released its balanced budget for 2018. Mayor Paolo Fongemie announced that in its efforts to present a balanced budget and reduce the city’s carbon footprint, it is looking to invest in three municipal vehicles fuelled by propane – two police cars and one public works service truck. The mayor said auto propane is used in Western Canada and Ontario and is known for its reliability to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and being economical.
