CPA Welcomes New Staff: Alain Saborit

The CPA is pleased to announce that Alain Saborit joined the team July 2 as Senior Technical & Training Advisor. Alain holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and is a Certified Engineering Technologist in Industrial Maintenance from the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists. He also has his certificates of qualification for gas (TAG1), stationary engines and pressure vessels (Québec).

 

Alain’s extensive career includes providing training for Riello Canada, a leader in manufacturing systems and technologies for heating in the residential and commercial sectors and managing the construction and renovation of major energy systems for Alcan and other companies.  For 12 years, he managed his own consulting business where he had the opportunity to conduct work in the energy sector for the federal government and for the Cree Board of Health in James Bay. 

In his new role, Alain will support the CPA/Propane Training Institute in developing member-focused and industry-driven propane training programs, recognized by all provincial and national regulatory authorities, as well as updating course material and procedures. Alain will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities that lead to an expanded selection of training programs that are intended to promote a culture of safety while improving the skills of workers handling propane. Alain will also be supporting the team on technical issues.
