MB: Successful Manitoba Committee meeting highlights important updates for the industry

Updates to the attendees included the Transport Canada electronic shipping documents pilot program, direct-fired vaporizers, CPA national recycling initiative, and the new Manitoba red tape reduction campaign and the successes achieved by the CPA in a similar exercise in other provinces. The updates were followed by a short discussion on eligibility for Manitoba companies for the federal government Climate Action Initiative Fund that closed October 17.
Members also discussed the harvest, upcoming heating season and the PROPANE Advantage with CPA Vice-President of Government Affairs Allan Murphy, the Reliable Propane Fiable© branding program, and a PTI report on updated courses, online ordering and printable certificates.
Prior to the meeting, the Manitoba Propane Committee and Office of the Fire Commissioner (MPC) working group met. MPC members noted grain dryer inspections and PTI course 400-01 Construction Heaters and Torches Up to and Including 400,000 BTU/h are items that will be discussed at the next meeting of the MPC/OFC working group.
