Emergency Response Assistance Canada (ERAC) is offering a virtual, instructor-led ICS 200 session on November 3 and 4, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. MT (course time may be adjusted depending on majority of participants’ time zones). ICS Canada certificates will be awarded upon completion of this session.
A flat fee (plus travel expenses, if applicable) is also available to organizations looking to book virtual or in-person training for their staff.
ERAC offers free ICS 100 and 200 online to its Plan Participant members, ERAC responders and first responders (firefighters, police, EMS) through its learning management system, Workhub. Note: these two online courses are neither recognized nor endorsed by ICS Canada. However, the two internal ERAC adaptations of both courses are sufficient and are a requirement for all ERAC responders who act in response to flammable liquids and LPG incidents. ICS 200 online does not qualify you to take ICS 300. To move on to ICS 300 you must take ICS 200 with a certified trainer.
ICS - Incident Command System - is a standardized approach to the command, control, and coordination of emergency response providing a common hierarchy within which responders from multiple agencies can be effective. ICS is widely used by agencies across Canada.
