NEW - ON: Regulator seeking your feedback on amendments to Propane Code Adoption Document 2020

The Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) is seeking feedback on its publication of code adoption document (CAD) amendments for propane storage and handling. The Propane CAD is adopted by reference in O. Reg 211/01.
The CAD adopts a series of national safety codes into regulation. This CAD was last updated and published on April 10, 2017 (Ref No. FS-224-17).
The documents for review may be accessed here. The opportunity to provide feedback will be open for 30 days. One month after that, the CAD will be published and in effect within 60 days of publication.
Please note that as discussed recently during a meeting of the Propane Advisory Council (September 2020), members are unanimous in their desire to have the CAD be approved as is and immediately.
The CPA intends to reiterate support for the immediate adoption of the federal CAD propane amendments as drafted in its response to the TSSA.
