As of December 7, 2020, P.E.I. is transitioning to a COVID-19 circuit breaker phase for two weeks. This circuit breaker phase is a time-limited intervention designed to get control of the situation at hand and break the chain of transmission of COVID-19. It will be reassessed throughout this period.
The circuit breaker phase restrictions override all other existing sector specific public health guidance.
Restrictions include:
- No personal gatherings,
- Organized gatherings of no more than 10 people indoors and outdoors,
- Retail stores to reduce the number of people to approximately 50 per cent of standard operating capacity (excluding staff).
