NEW – MB: New Premier Stefanson sworn in

Manitoba Progressive Conservative leader Heather Stefanson has been sworn in as Manitoba’s 24th premier. Stefanson, first elected in 2000, has served as justice minister, deputy premier and health minister. 

Stefanson said her agenda will be focused on reconciliation, health care, education, economy and jobs – for a “healthier and stronger post-pandemic Manitoba”.

The Manitoba government unveiled its new vision for a “strong economic and social recovery focused on the health and well-being of all Manitobans” in a speech from the throne on November 23, 2021. The session will rise on December 2, 2021. 

The CPA will continue to engage with the government of Manitoba, and new decision-makers on key priorities and issues.
