Mark your calendars for Canada’s National Propane Day premiering on March 21. The Canadian Propane Association initiated this significant day to bring national attention to the many benefits of propane as a cleaner energy source and the important role it has in our energy future.
As part of National Propane Day, the CPA is organizing a "Propane on the Hill" lobby day in Ottawa to meet with cabinet members, opposition leaders, senior bureaucrats, members of parliament, and senators of all political stripes. These events will allow the CPA and members to advocate for propane and make clear why it must be reflected in federal policy.
The CPA will also be developing a promotional campaign to help publicize National Propane Day at the local political level and also reach Canadians. We all must work together to underscore the critical role of propane as energy’s "first responder" when weather events occur and as a low-emission energy source in everyday living. Whether it is providing primary space heating for residential or commercial spaces, as a co-primary energy source for renewables such as wind or solar, providing healthier school transportation, use in agriculture applications like grain drying, or as vital energy at remote construction sites and mining operations, propane is Energy for All.
