On June 15 and 16, the CPA held its 2016 Atlantic Seminar & Golf Tournament at Brudenell River Valley Resort in Prince Edward Island. Close to 40 delegates attended the seminar, making it one of the most popular Atlantic events yet. The event included a full day of seminar presentations and a golf tournament at Dundarave Golf course.
Speakers included Gerald Thompson, CPA Senior Director, Learning & Development who gave an update on PTI and its future plans; Eric Paquet, General Manager for BL Energie who gave a presentation on auto propane; Neil Campbell, General Manager, PEI Grain Elevator Corporation who spoke about the advantages of using propane for his industry; and Brian Reid, Inspector, Propane, Boiler and Pressure Vessels for the province of PEI.
PEI Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Energy, the Hon. Paula J. Biggar (pictured with CPA Board member Steve Wilson) addressed delegates during the morning session on the opportunities for propane use in PEI and including propane as part of their climate change reduction strategy in the agricultural, transportation and residential sectors.
