Nova Scotia has joined the Western Climate Initiative (WCI) Inc. as the province develops a new cap and trade carbon pricing program required by the federal government by the end of the year.

 

The province joined WCI to use it’s IT system to support Nova Scotia's cap and trade program. The province does not intend to link or trade GHG emissions allowances with other jurisdictions at this time. The full press release is available here.
